विवरण:
यह सिर्फ़ भारत मे ही पाया जाता है और हिमालय के आसपास कम ऊँचाई के जंगलो मे बहुतायत मे पाया जाता है। इसका धार्मिक महत्व भी है।
इस पेड का फ़ल मुख्यता दस्त और पेचिश का उपचार करने मे प्रयोग होता है। चिकित्सा प्रयोजनों के लिये अधिकाशत: आधा पका फ़ल प्रयोग किया जाता है। इस पेड के फ़ल से ईगल मार्मिलोस और पतियों से ईगल फ़ोलिया तैयार किया जाता है।

होम्योपैथिक उपयोग:
ईगल मार्मिलोस की तरह यह औषधि भी पेचिश और बवासीर मे प्रभावकारी पायी गई है।

पेचिश(Amoebic dysentry):
रक्त एव बलगम मिश्रित पतले मल के साथ शूलकारी दर्द्। भोजन ग्रहण करते ही मलत्याग की इच्छा शुरु हो जाती है और मलत्याग करने से आराम मिल जाता है( Colitis)

बवासीर (Piles):
खुजलीयुक्त, दर्दनाक एव फ़ुंसीनुमा। कब्ज, सख्त एव अल्प मल्।

शवेतप्रदर(Leucorrhoea):
जलन के साथ सफ़ेद स्त्राव जो ऐडी तक पहुँच जाता है। सुधार- लेटने से

माइग्रेन ( Migraine)
पित्तीय वमन के साथ कनपटी मे फ़डकन की तरह का दर्द्। इअसके बाद कमजोरी का अनुभव्।

विवरण:
यह अधिकांशतः भारत के गर्म प्रदेशों मे पाया जाता है। इसके जड की छाल औषधीय उद्देश्यों के लिये प्रयोग होती है। स्वदेशी पद्दति मे यह आर्त्वजनक(emmenagogue) के रुप मे लोकप्रिय है। यह कृष्टार्त्व के रक्त्सकुलता एव तत्रिका प्रकार(dysmenorrhoea) मे एक लाभदायक औषधि है। मधुमेह (diabetes mellitus & inspidus) मे भी इसका प्रयोग सार्थक है।

होम्योपैथिक उपयोग-
कलकत्ता के डा0 डी0 एन0 रे द्वारा 1919 मे तथा नई दिल्ली के डा0 जुगल किशोर द्वारा 1972 मे आशिक प्रमाणन किये थे। बाद मे C.C.R.H.( सेन्र्टरल काउनसिल आफ़ रिसर्च इन होम्योपैथी) द्वारा भी इसका प्रमाणन किया जा चुका है तथा कृष्टार्तव(dysmenorrhoea ) एव शवेतप्रदर ( leucorrhoea)के लक्षणो के लिये लाभदायक है। सत्यापन परीक्षणो के दौरान भी इसकी पुषिट हो चुकी है।

मधुमेह(diabetes)-
अत्याधिक मूत्र उग्रता-रात मे तथा अत्याधिक घनत्व के साथ्। शुष्क मुख और प्यास अधिक्। रोगी को अनिद्रा और विषाद की शिकायत रहती है तथा रोगी को किसी प्रकार का मानसिक अथवा शारिरिक परिश्रम करने की इच्छा नही होती है। रोगी मानसिक रुप से भुलक्कड और चिडचिडा हो।

कृष्टार्तव (dysmenorrhoea )-
पेट के नीचे हिस्से मे शूलकारी दर्द्। अनियमित मासिक धर्म्। गहरा एव थक्केदार रक्त्।

शवसनी-शोध(bronchitis)-
खासने पर छाती और आसपास मे दर्द्। तेजी से साँस का चलना एव उजला बलगम्।

ब्लाग स्पाट पर कुछ पोस्ट बडी मेहनत से तैयार की थी, लेकिन अब मुझे लग रहा है कि मेरा साथ ब्लाग स्पाट से अधिक दिन तक चलने वाला नही है, रोज ही अलग -2 तरह की मुसीबत आती रहती है, इससे पहले कि कुछ अधिक बिगडे अपनी पोस्ट वहाँ से खिसका लो, कल से इसकी शुरूआत की है , एक आध दिन मे महत्वपूर्ण पोस्ट वर्डप्रेस पर ले आऊगाँ नहीं तो शुएब की तरह मै भी हाथ मलते रह जाऊगाँ।

होम्योपैथी एलोपैथी की तर्ज पर

इधर कुछ सालो से होम्योपैथी मे एलोपैथी की तर्ज पर रोग के नाम पर औषिधयों को दावा करने की होड मची है। होम्योपैथी के कई फ़ोरम मे कुछ चि्कित्सक , खासकर जोय डी सिल्वा-श्री लंका के Nat Phos 6x के संबध में झूठे दावे या फ़िर बालों को उगाने के संबध मेArnica की बकवास रिसर्च होम्योपैथी के सिदातों की धज्जी उडाते हुये दिखते है। यह बात अलग है कि अब अधिकांश फ़ोरम पर इन बाक्सोपैथ पर पाबंदी लग चुकी है। होम्योपैथी एक थोडी सी मुशिकल सांइस है, रोग की डाइगनोसिस के बाद एक चिकित्सक को औषिधयों के लक्ष्णों को भी रोगी के लक्षणों से मिलाना पडता है, सही सिमलिनम को ढूँढने के लिये एक अनुभवी चिकित्सक को आर्गेनान, होम्योपैथी फ़िलोसफ़ी और रिपरटाइजेशन का ज्ञान रखना पडता है। कौन इतनी मेहनत करे, कौन रिपरटाइजेशन करने मे अपना सर खपाये, निशा ने होम्योपैथी के एक फ़ोरम मे एक छोटा सा प्ले प्रस्तुत किया है। पिछेले साल यह मैने उस फ़ोरम मे दे्खा था और डाक्यूमेन्टस मे सजो कर रखा था। आप भी उसका लुत्फ़ उठायिये।

Definition and Classification

OCD falls under the broad category of anxiety disorders, which encompasses conditions such as panic disorder, social phobia, and posttraumatic stress disorder (DSM-IV).
The patients have recurrent flow of thoughts, they know thoughts are absurd and try to resist but they fail. The condition is charcterised by :
a)Anxious preoccupation with some obscessive idea. The patient may ask himself over and over again some religious or metaphysical questions, e.g. “what was the begining of everything?” Some are disturbed by the reiteration of certain words or phrases in their mind.
(b) Morbid compulsions: fears associated with the obscessive ideas e.g, a fear of dirt and contamination may necessiate constant washing and scrubbing of the skin to ensure cleanliness. Patients may feel compelled to touch objects,to do things in a certain order,to steal something intrinisically worthless,(kleptomania),to commit homicidal acts or sexual assaults, to take alcohol (dipsomania) or drugs..

Some common obsessions :

* Fear of dirt or germs
* Disgust with bodily waste or fluids
* Concern with order, symmetry (balance) and exactness
* Worry that a task has been done poorly, even when the person knows this is not true
* Fear of thinking evil or sinful thoughts
* Thinking about certain sounds, images, words or numbers all the time
* Need for constant reassurance
* Fear of harming a family member or friend
Compulsions are repetitive behaviors (rituals) or mental acts that reduce the anxiety that accompanies an obsession. The person feels driven to perform them in response to their obsession, or according to rules that must be rigidly applied.
Some common compulsions include:
* Cleaning and grooming, such as washing hands, showering or brushing teeth over and over again
* Checking drawers, door locks and appliances to be sure they are shut, locked or turned off
* Repeating, such as going in and out of a door, sitting down and getting up from a chair, or touching certain objects several times
* Ordering and arranging items in certain ways
* Counting over and over to a certain number
* Saving newspapers, mail or containers when they are no longer needed

These obsessions or compulsions cause marked distress, are time consuming (>1 hour a day), or significantly interfere with the person’s normal routine, occupation (or academic) functioning, or usual social activities or relationships.

Aetiology:-

There is no single, proven cause of OCD.

1-There are no of factors responsible for OCD, like genectics,personality development, and how a person reacts to the environment around them.

2 -It affects men and women equally and knows no geographic, ethnic, or economic boundaries.

3-Typically, OCD begins in adolescence to young adult life, but at least a third of cases of adult OCD start in childhood.But they are rarely to be taken seriously then.

4- Interestingly, about 20-30% of OCD patients report a past history of tics.

Treatments

OCD was once thought to be untreatable, but today’s medicine can help most individuals achieve meaningful long-term symptom relief. Some individuals have even reported being cured of OCD. Individuals whose symptoms persist, make no sense, cause much distress, or interfere with functioning, need to seek clinical help. Once the diagnosis is made, appropriate treatment can be prescribed.
